Sigrid & Wim
Is hospitality in the blood? Is it natural? Or learned during life? Maybe a bit of both. It is probably no coincidence that I, Sigrid, started working in a hotel at a very young age. What started as holiday work culminated in ten years of living and working on Terschelling, an island north of the Netherlands. Then several years in Zermatt (near the Matterhorn) in Switzerland. This international experience in particular was the ideal opportunity for me to learn better German and English.
Wim learned German especially during the years he worked on the North Holland coast, hugely popular with our eastern neighbours. During his backpacking trips to Australia, New Zealand and Japan, he mastered the English language. Together, we share the desire for ‘adventure’. Years ago, we already visited the Emigration Fair, then still orientating. Early 2022 was the time for a leap into the Spanish deep. And of course, we are now working hard to master Español.

From mid-January 2022, we are delighted to welcome guests to our Bed & Breakfast Sunny Vista, Casa Rural in Pinoso. For us, four rooms are just the right number for pleasant and personal contact with our guests. There is also the possibility, under the name “Sunny Vista Familia”, to rent the whole house, We are happy to take the time to answer questions and give specific tips for trips or activities in the area. Because although Pinoso is not very big, there is plenty to see and do in this region.

Unique experiences
Sitting quietly by the pool, swimming laps and finally reading that good book, Sunny Vista offers every opportunity for that too. Here you can get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You feel it as soon as you pass through the gate. In the walled garden with palm trees, there are enough places to sit or lie down for everyone. From the small beach by the swimming pool, you can daydream with views of the mountains.
Time is of no importance, here there is the ‘mañana-feeling’ for which Spanish culture seems to be so famous. In reality, Spaniards do perform many activities, but at their own pace. If you come here for a holiday, you may go into lower gear for a while. You don’t have to, because away from mass tourism there is still much unknown to discover. Unique experiences for which we are happy to provide some foretaste on our website.

An eye for sustainability
Staying at B&B Sunny Vista is a sustainable choice;
- Our B&B is set up in an existing building, so there was no need for new construction.
- We use low-energy light bulbs and ecological cleaning products and detergent.
- Of course, towel service is part of it, but by hanging up the towels you can indicate you want to use the towel again. This saves a little on laundry and has a positive impact on the environment.
- Free toiletries are part of our service.
- In all bathrooms you will find dispensers for shower gel and shampoo.
A conscious choice, as this saves a large amount of plastic packaging. - Room Evi has a new mattress Eco Bamboo fresh.
This product is characterised by its ecological content, high durability, anti-humidity and is 100% antibacterial. - To keep our pool hygienic and environmentally friendly, we use salt water.
The lack of chemicals means you won’t suffer from red eyes and it is softer and healthier for the skin.
So we do our bit for a sustainable planet, and are constantly thinking about how we can expand this.
